CEO Dancers

I styled these beautiful and amazingly talented ladies last year.

The inspiration for this shoot is pretty clear…

I love the CEO dancers and if i had the chance i will style them at least twice a year as they are open to creative directions, their enthusiasm to try new things is highly infectious and most importantly they are the most professional dancers i have ever styled till date. So i guess it is safe to say they live up to their name…

Nouveau

Hello,

so remember i told you guys that i was moving house, well what i failed to mention or add to that info is that most of my clothes and belongings are in storage. This only made me come to the conclusion that i need new clothes. i mean i cannot go out about without clothing…All that said i would like you to welcome my 2 new favourite piece of clothing; my lovely shorts and my well long deserved stilettos.

As i am sure, most of us fashionista will always say that the best stiletto to buy is the Christian Louboutin Pigalle. in as much as i love Mr Louboutin’s amazing art he calls shoes, the Pigalle is a far cry from comfortable. It’s not just the height you have to deal with, the arch of the shoe is so disproportionate to the height you feel like you’re on your tiptoes standing, on a stilt 90 percent of the time. it is least to say that those shoes are bloody uncomfortable and i wouldn’t trust a woman who calls them comfortable or walk a mile in them (i know, i have trust issues)

All that said, i have found the love of my stiletto life and his name is Nouveau, his daddy is Stuart Weitzerman and the man has a soft sport for comfort and elegance. S trust me when i say this is a match made in shoe heaven.

9 to 5…

Hi Guys,

i know i have been quiet of late and my blog has been missing a post or 2, i do apologise and i blame it all on work and my chaotic life. I have been doing a lot of styling gigs of late, so much that the past 3-4  weekends has been from one shoot to another. To make matters worse i had to move house so most of my stuff is in storage…its all a big mess if i am totally honest.  I promise as soon as images are out i will post them up for you guys to see, a little insight into my creative work isnt a bad idea right?

Well, all that said, todays post is dedicated to the outfit i wear on Tuesday to friday; my work uniform.

I work in a retail store in London as a part time sales associate. It is the only job that gives me enough freedom and leeway to pursue my dream as a creative consultant and if i am totally honest, i actually enjoy working in retail as it kinda keeps me in the field i would love to be great at and give me the avenue to meet people from different places and works of life, even famous ones…

For security reasons i cannot really tell you where i work for the fear of stalkers is the beginning of wisdom.

However i am happy to share with you guys what i look like on most weekdays although i did tweak it a little with the hat and Louboutins (imagine running up and down the stairs in those), i am usually in a pair of boots or mid heels.

i would love to know what you guys wear for 9/5, lets make it a thing.

Good Old British Seaside

Hi guys,

IMG_0625

l spent my weekend in Cornwall, a last minute.com random getaway decision for my darling Tintins birthday. It was the perfect getaway i needed from all the stress of work and personal palaver… a time out in a little cottage by the sea, surrounded by happy people was what the doctor ordered.

During the day, we went to the beach for a little dip before we decided on going  coast tailing which involved rock climbing and cliff jumping really…

I totally enjoyed coast tailing, the adrenaline flowing through my veins and the salt water finding its way into my brain must have resulted in me having a momentarily state of highness cos that is the only way i could justify jumping off  a cliff  which is between 60-70 metres high without flinching.

It isn’t normal to be excited and eager to jump off a cliff that high instantaneously.

We had a lovely dinner in the evening at one of the undoubtedly the best crab shack i have been to in my life so far. Like it literally put any sea food platter i have ever had in London to shame, even the fries were so fresh crunchy with the right amount of potato fluff… i haven’t tasted fried potatoes that good in a restaurant in a hot minute.

All in all the weather was fantastic, it was good vibes all through and i m starting to fall in love with how beautiful everything seems in the sun especially in England.  I cannot wait to explore most of the coasts england has to offer and the cuisine of course .

LBD

Hi Guys,

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday and i totally had no idea of what to wear so i decided to do the “first outfit to pop out of the closet” trick and it totally worked.

This Topshop dress is almost a year old and has been worn just once.Initially i wore my black tasselled leather loafers as i really did not want to wear such a short dress with heels to church. But after the service my darling Tintin (thesohosister.com) and i popped into Zara as they do have a sale on at the moment (which is pretty boring as most of the items are still expensive) to look for a specific bag i kinda fell in love with but didn’t want to pay full price for but instead, i found this lovely pink platform heels waiting patiently for me to give them a good home in my closet and i couldn’t say no.

It’s always exciting when you can revamp an outfit to create a totally different look and thats why i love this ensemble so much.

HAPPY

Hi Guys,

i woke up with an entirely diff outfit in mind to wear to church yesterday and as i had a wedding reception to attend afterwards, i was hoping to get home for a quick change of outfit and head out ASAP. But that was certainly not the case. I woke up late and was in a mighty rush to make my intended service. I literally just went with the flow and allow the skater skirt inspire the rest of the look bearing in mind that a change of outfit wont be possible at the rate my day was going…but it turned out pretty cool.

A Belle of a day…

Hello guys,

it was 20 degrees on Wednesday and I had a lot to do. So I decided to dress for the weather but still look a tad bit smart. I spent half of my day in a film studio with my wonderful friend Baba Agba who is a photographer and now a film maker. We were working on an advert for my T-shirt line Mr Garbe (not to worry a well detailed post about MR Garbe will be up soon). It was super cool as i was the director on set…  cant wait for you guys to see the result. A Belle of a day

As most of my friends know i never take myself too seriously. After the shoot we decided to have a break and here i am with my wonderful little friend Toyin. She’s more like sister to be honest, messing around like we always do. She has an awesome blog and a mega style crush on me lol (don’t tell her i said that) but you guys really should check out her blog http://www.thesohosister.com_MG_4396

_MG_4395

It was such a beautiful and productive day. The best part was the fact that I spent the day working and hanging out with people who mean a lot to me as friends and family, I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful day

Noir et Blanc

Hi guys,

Last week I fell in love, it was the kind of love you know it is definitely unshakable and real. there was no ifs or buts,  ‘oohs’ or ‘ahs’. it was a yes! I have to have you and after running helter skelter all around the west end in London to find you, you came home with me.

Guys words cannot explain how much I love my Leather biker jacket from the recent icons collection from H&M. Believe me when I say at a 100 quid for a 100 percent leather, it wasn’t a bargain it was broad daylight robbery Lol.

Okay I will stop being dramatic but I really have to stress how amazing this leather jacket is.

The cut is superb, like it’s a perfect fit no long arm nonsense as H&M usually does….will blame that on their Scandinavian heritage. and the design is just simple and fabulous.

I must warn you guys before hand as i will be wearing this jacket every chance i get this summer and beyond so expect more cameos from my lovely little gem on my blog.

Its an Orange Culture Thing…

Hello Guys,

Last Sunday was absolutely wonderful and perfect for me to wear one of my favourite trousers…

IMG_3916

IMG_3929

The trouser is by one of my very good friend who is also a designer. The name of his Label is Orange culture and  its menswear. it’s basically a mix of urban eclecticism and bohemian glamour. Although the trousers are mens,  I couldn’t help myself, I had to have it and I am sure I will be raiding the orange culture wardrobe in the nearest future because it is absolutely FABULOUS!

I totally pledge my allegiance to Orange Culture and so should you
