Aside from being a freelance stylist, i am the fashion editor for an online magazine; http://www.blanckdigital.com
Blanck is an online fashion magazine with a heartbeat, and that heart is Africa… the Last issue was the freedom issue with the underlining question ‘what does freedom meant to you?’ We had four covers for the issue and one of the celebrity featured was aspiring songstress Lola Rae.
Initially, as the shoot was a beauty inspired feature, the moodboard i created for this shoot was very colorful, bright and summery. That was thrown out the window as we decided to strip her bare and build her look up.
I love how simple, somewhat raw and delicate she looks in some of these images…
Lola Rae is a natural in front of the camera and she evidently photographs well. Some of the images here did not make it into the magazine so you’re literally getting an exclusive on my blog lol.
If you have the time, head on to blanckdigital.com, check out the site and the magazine as i would love to know what you think.

i love playing with colours and clashing patterns with prints especially when you did not really plan your look but it turns out great…
what can i say, there sure must be a method to my madness

The weather has been so kind to us in London its been pretty amazing. So amazing that it is hard to find the skin to fabric ratio balance. Its so hot that you cannot help but want to walk out with little or almost nothing on.
i have always had a problem when it comes to jumpsuits. Its either my derrière is too big/ my upper body is too long which equates to an uninvited camel toe or its just way too long and unflattering on me. So imagine my excitement when i stumbled on this beautiful jumpsuit in Zara which surprisingly fits pretty well and its a perfect equilibrium in terms of skin to fabric ratio…
London feels and looks different in the sun, it feels like the city is alive and happy, people even apologise when they bump into you in the streets (that never happens in the winter). I really hope the weather stays this way for the next couple of weeks…

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday and i totally had no idea of what to wear so i decided to do the “first outfit to pop out of the closet” trick and it totally worked.
This Topshop dress is almost a year old and has been worn just once.Initially i wore my black tasselled leather loafers as i really did not want to wear such a short dress with heels to church. But after the service my darling Tintin (thesohosister.com) and i popped into Zara as they do have a sale on at the moment (which is pretty boring as most of the items are still expensive) to look for a specific bag i kinda fell in love with but didn’t want to pay full price for but instead, i found this lovely pink platform heels waiting patiently for me to give them a good home in my closet and i couldn’t say no.
It’s always exciting when you can revamp an outfit to create a totally different look and thats why i love this ensemble so much.

i woke up with an entirely diff outfit in mind to wear to church yesterday and as i had a wedding reception to attend afterwards, i was hoping to get home for a quick change of outfit and head out ASAP. But that was certainly not the case. I woke up late and was in a mighty rush to make my intended service. I literally just went with the flow and allow the skater skirt inspire the rest of the look bearing in mind that a change of outfit wont be possible at the rate my day was going…but it turned out pretty cool.
I had a lovely weekend and the wedding reception was blissful…

hope you all had a Fabtastic Sunday. Every other sunday my darling Tintin (thesohosister.com) and i always dine out for lunch and this sunday we decided to go to this little gem tucked in a tiny street in knightsbridge.
The food was an absolute delight and the restaurant was clean simple and elegant. I only managed to take just one picture in the restaurant for the fear of looking like a random freshie in a somewhat posh restaurant lol. However i would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
PS i still love my orange Zara jacket, 2years on it still looks as fabulous as the first day i found it.

Last week I fell in love, it was the kind of love you know it is definitely unshakable and real. there was no ifs or buts, ‘oohs’ or ‘ahs’. it was a yes! I have to have you and after running helter skelter all around the west end in London to find you, you came home with me.
Guys words cannot explain how much I love my Leather biker jacket from the recent icons collection from H&M. Believe me when I say at a 100 quid for a 100 percent leather, it wasn’t a bargain it was broad daylight robbery Lol.
Okay I will stop being dramatic but I really have to stress how amazing this leather jacket is.
The cut is superb, like it’s a perfect fit
no long arm nonsense as H&M usually does….will blame that on their Scandinavian heritage. and the design is just simple and fabulous.
I must warn you guys before hand as i will be wearing this jacket every chance i get this summer and beyond so expect more cameos from my lovely little gem on my blog.

its yet another sunday and its pretty cold in London town as always. My outfit wasn’t totally planned but i was so eager to wear my new wedged boots and the rest of the ensemble fell into place. The shoes are Stuart Weitzerman for Russell and Bromley, i got them on sale for £49 from a whooping £245. Guess you can understand my excitement a wee bit.
Church service was absolutely fantastic today, the message was simple and apt. If you are Christian, no matter where you find yourself always be a team player and not the critic. There is love in unity and there is only one Body of Christ. So no matter how dire the situation, there is strength in perseverance.
have a wonderful week guys

After a really cold and snowy spell, the British weather decided to be kind to us today in London. And as a typical Londoner who gets excited at every opportunity to dress light, i took advantage of todays lovely weather…
Love or Loathe?
would love to know

i have been a bit down over the past few weeks. Having personal issues to deal with and i cannot seem to find solace in my loved ones…so last friday my wonderful mate decided to drag me out for a meal and drinks in town to get my mind off things. I decided to dress to kill hoping that would lift my spirit and guess what? it totally did…the pictures are a bit blurry cos i bullied my mate to take them on an iPhone lol.
I am so grateful for the friends i have. We might not be related by blood, but the fact that most of them are willing to do anything to see me happy. Makes them family to me
Have a wonderful weekend xx
