How to look cool in Peplum

The peplum has turned out to be the biggest trend this year. A peplum is basically a piece of extra fabric sewn around the waist area of a dress, skirt or top which turns an ordinary piece of clothing to an elegant one. Peplum has been around forever. From the era of Wallace Simpson to Princess Dana this trend has popped in and out of the fashion scene in almost every generation.
Here is a video hi-lighting the best pieces I found on the high-street and showcased on a youtube show i currently produce with a bunch of cool people. (don’t forget to subscribe if you like what you see)

Camo Swag.

Camouflage print  is one trend that has insidiously crept into season and I think it is ok for me to suggest that it is uber cool to be seen wearing an item of camouflage clothing.

I bought my vintage camouflage jacket for 20 pounds on ebay and it is the exact same one you’ll find in urban outfitters (men’s section for twice the price). I love my jacket very much and works well as both a smart or  casual jacket. today’s look was smart casual and  I couldn’t help but rock out in my lovely new jacket.Would love to know what you guys think and how you would style up your camouflage piece too.

I am a big fan of shorts. If I could I will wear them all day everyday. They are very adaptable and easy to dress up or down from smart to casual… i had an  interview with  the amazing urban afrobeats rapper turn CEO Eldee for gidicultureTV ( My outfit of choice was a plan white tee and shorts topped off with a green blazer to smarten the look .

Toyin’s Night.

It was my darling Toyin’s birthday the other day and what an eventful day it was. I had a major wardrobe malfunction and to put the icing on the cake I decided to wear a white dress for a meal at lobster and burger ( for most guys that have been to this restaurant you know how much of a bad idea this is)…

Although the night seemed like a disaster waiting to happen wardrobe wise for me, it turned out to work perfectly in my favour and I fell in love with ensemble

It was my birthday on weds and it was diff from most of the birthday celebrations I have had over the years. I actually decided to work on my birthday and although my mate cancelled on me last minute for dinner, my darling Toyin ( rose to the occasion and came out with me for a meal.
The outfit was last and it was inspired by Haider Ackermann… I felt so comfortable and elegant in my silk shorts and blouse ( both from Zara). The shoes are Stuart Weitzerman and the Swarovski crystal topped my look up with the right amount of pizazz needed

I had a fabulous day and so grateful for all the love and wishes I got from my friends and family.
Thank you all xx
