obviously by now you should have heard of Blanck magazine (www.blanckdigital.com), but if you haven’t i am more than happy to fill you in on what Blanck is all about. Blanck is a Fashion magazine with a conscience, It’s an open book that celebrates African creatives and also shed light on topical issues affecting the nation.
The tear sheets below are from the latest issue of the magazine. I am proud to be associated with the publication and grateful for the experience so far. As a Fashion Editor you think about not just the styling, but the flow of the magazine, what you feel your readers want and what interest them. How to stay ahead of the game, be topically relevant without losing the cool factor and most importantly having a good product. These are just a few things i do for the magazine and i must say in as much as it seems like a lot of work, it has been a fun ride all the way. Working with my team and other creatives in the field has been a blessing and learning about the African Fashion media industry through a veteran like Franka Chiedu i must say is priceless. Here are tear sheets from the latest issue of Blanck . you can also subscribe to the site to get the latest updates on fashion and other interesting news and also be the first to know when it comes to future issues. You can also join in on the fun on instagram by following Blanckdigital.
So before i leave you, i would love to know who your favorite celebrity cover is…

She’s a beautiful fashion blogger and model but don’t let the cute face and curly locks fool you. This young day is both beauty and brains. Nada is from Manchester and holds a degree in Law, she’s a massive face on the web and her fans love her (70 thousand of them on Instagram).
She made my job amazingly easy even though this was her first ever Lingerie shoot.
I must say i had a fantastic team and the synergy was fantastic.
Anyways i think i should rest my fingers and let the pictures do the talking….

hope you’re having a great weekend so far… A few months back i worked on a Little project called the Giddimint Photoseries.
The Photoseries was an idea i came up with a friend and my Oga (Boss) at the top Kelo Okeke of Giddimint.com for his site. The project showcases and shed light on young visual creatives in Nigeria through the Giddimint platform. We got these young creatives to use tshirts and products from the site to create images to showcase their creative prowess and i was fortunate enough to work with Baba Agba.
Baba is an Amazing up and coming photographer who shoots on solely film. For his Photoseries we came up with the idea of merging tees (all sold on Giddimint.com) with ball gowns and more or less high fashion pieces and the result is the collection of Images below.
I love the texture of these images and i must say it is always a great feeling to support up and coming creatives from Nigeria.

I styled these beautiful and amazingly talented ladies last year.
The inspiration for this shoot is pretty clear…
I love the CEO dancers and if i had the chance i will style them at least twice a year as they are open to creative directions, their enthusiasm to try new things is highly infectious and most importantly they are the most professional dancers i have ever styled till date. So i guess it is safe to say they live up to their name…

Aside from being a freelance stylist, i am the fashion editor for an online magazine; http://www.blanckdigital.com
Blanck is an online fashion magazine with a heartbeat, and that heart is Africa… the Last issue was the freedom issue with the underlining question ‘what does freedom meant to you?’ We had four covers for the issue and one of the celebrity featured was aspiring songstress Lola Rae.
Initially, as the shoot was a beauty inspired feature, the moodboard i created for this shoot was very colorful, bright and summery. That was thrown out the window as we decided to strip her bare and build her look up.
I love how simple, somewhat raw and delicate she looks in some of these images…
Lola Rae is a natural in front of the camera and she evidently photographs well. Some of the images here did not make it into the magazine so you’re literally getting an exclusive on my blog lol.
If you have the time, head on to blanckdigital.com, check out the site and the magazine as i would love to know what you think.

I know, I have been away for a hot minute now and I do apologize to you guys who actually follow my blog and support me religiously, blame it on the workload and my inability to be somewhat more organized. I promise, I am improving on that aspect of my life…
So! my first post or next couple of posts since my going AWOL will be on projects and stuff I have been up to aside taking pictures of myself in pretty ensembles lol.
This latest post was a shoot I styled late last year for WOW magazine. The inspiration for this shoot was literally Christmas. It was more like “what would you treat your man to on the first day of Xmas” theme.
The image was shot by Ade Okelarin, Make Up by Toni Kemi and Debi AFriyie was my muse for the day… I particularly love this shoot as I think I did achieve my goal. I wanted the images to ooze the right amount of sexiness without being too erotic. Debie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She took directions pretty well making my job pretty easy…
If you live in Lagos Nigeria, grab yourself a copy of the magazine and let me know what you think.

so remember i told you guys that i was moving house, well what i failed to mention or add to that info is that most of my clothes and belongings are in storage. This only made me come to the conclusion that i need new clothes. i mean i cannot go out about without clothing…All that said i would like you to welcome my 2 new favourite piece of clothing; my lovely shorts and my well long deserved stilettos.
As i am sure, most of us fashionista will always say that the best stiletto to buy is the Christian Louboutin Pigalle. in as much as i love Mr Louboutin’s amazing art he calls shoes, the Pigalle is a far cry from comfortable. It’s not just the height you have to deal with, the arch of the shoe is so disproportionate to the height you feel like you’re on your tiptoes standing, on a stilt 90 percent of the time. it is least to say that those shoes are bloody uncomfortable and i wouldn’t trust a woman who calls them comfortable or walk a mile in them (i know, i have trust issues)
All that said, i have found the love of my stiletto life and his name is Nouveau, his daddy is Stuart Weitzerman and the man has a soft sport for comfort and elegance. S trust me when i say this is a match made in shoe heaven.

i know i have been quiet of late and my blog has been missing a post or 2, i do apologise and i blame it all on work and my chaotic life. I have been doing a lot of styling gigs of late, so much that the past 3-4 weekends has been from one shoot to another. To make matters worse i had to move house so most of my stuff is in storage…its all a big mess if i am totally honest. I promise as soon as images are out i will post them up for you guys to see, a little insight into my creative work isnt a bad idea right?
Well, all that said, todays post is dedicated to the outfit i wear on Tuesday to friday; my work uniform.
I work in a retail store in London as a part time sales associate. It is the only job that gives me enough freedom and leeway to pursue my dream as a creative consultant and if i am totally honest, i actually enjoy working in retail as it kinda keeps me in the field i would love to be great at and give me the avenue to meet people from different places and works of life, even famous ones…
For security reasons i cannot really tell you where i work
for the fear of stalkers is the beginning of wisdom. However i am happy to share with you guys what i look like on most weekdays although i did tweak it a little with the hat and Louboutins (imagine running up and down the stairs in those), i am usually in a pair of boots or mid heels.
i would love to know what you guys wear for 9/5, lets make it a thing.

i think i am going through a hair-volution and i am totalling loving it. I am your plain jane; simple weave and braids kind of girl as i don’t like taking drastic risks with my hair. So I think i surprised myself when my hair stylist suggested i tried this style and i said yes after just 10 mins of persuasion. No complaints about looking fresh off the boat, black version of slash the guitar player or worse a really bad Nollywood actress, like nothing! My reaction and eagerness to try something new kinda shocked me too…
Well as you can clearly tell that this hair got me all giddy and excited that i couldn’t help but put my carrie skirt on (that’s not what the skirts called but just go with it) sashaying down Regent street with the intro tune to sex and the city playing in my head and feeling like a less drama version of Miss Bradshaw….
i decided to take more cool night mode images and i am totally in love with them, i felt like the camera was just expressing my emotions through the colour blurs and soft focusing.
